Garden Ridge Lions members volunteer to be trained and to conduct hearing screening for students in Kindergarten, First, and Third grades throughout Comal County. This program is conducted under the auspices of the State of Texas and provides school medical staff assistance in identifying children who have hearing difficulties.
A message from Lion Dick Holloway: To all my fellow hearing tester volunteers, In November, we will complete our 2016 hearing testing program having visited 32 public and private schools. We commenced this journey on August 31st and have provided a hearing test for over 6000 grade school and junior high students . My most sincere thanks to all those that have participated in this year’s effort. To all I say a job well done. I appreciate your willingness to support this most enjoyable program and look forward to working with you again in 2017. We will be recruiting more volunteers for 2017 so if you are interested in participating as a new volunteer in this program please let me know. Regards, Dick A message from President Lion Carmen McCaw: Dick-Please accept my heartfelt thanks for all your hard work for choreographing this entire hearing testing program! Well Done!
